The name, "Bacon, Eggs, and Beer", comes from an article that I read years ago. I do not recall the name of the author, and I do not recall the name of the publication; I shall call the unknown author "U". I do recall U's claim to have met Chesterton on one of his stops along a speaking tour in England. U reports that Chesterton "breakfasted on bacon, eggs, and beer". That was so delicious a quotation as to burn itself into my memory, where it has remained, but I have forgotten everything else about the article.
The following, which I typed in as a three-line LaTeXeqnarray, should look like the derivation of the formula for integration by parts. If so, then MathJax is working, and one should be able to view the mathematical content on this site: \begin{eqnarray} \text{d}(uv) &=& v \, \text{d}u + u \, \text{d}v\\ u \, \text{d}v &=& \text{d}(uv) - v \, \text{d}u\\ \int u \, \text{d}v &=& uv - \int v \, \text{d}u. \end{eqnarray}
